Mock draft Mon(Wednes)day
12-team half-PPR

By: Josh Frey-Sam
I read somewhere that teams that selected 12th overall won the most fantasy championships of any draft slot last season.
So it only makes sense that our next mock draft comes from the tail end of the round.
Before we get into things, I hope everyone had an enjoyable Canada Day long weekend. I know I did, which is why there was no newsletter sent out on Monday.
We’re back to regularly scheduled programming, with more installments of the summer series rolling out and some fun exercises sprinkled in between.
Let’s get to building a championship-winning squad — 12-team, half-PPR, standard roster. As always, check below for a brief explanation of each pick.

1.12 - Even with Travis Hunter in the mix, Brian Thomas Jr. is the unquestioned No. 1 in the Jacksonville offence, has Liam Coen dialling up plays and has a healthy Trevor Lawrence slinging the rock. He’s in store for a big year.
2.1 - Jeanty is going to be the unquestioned workhorse in the Las Vegas offence.
3.12 - Yes, I was one of the many who got burned by Marvin Harrison Jr. last season. I knew it was a risk at the time and I still pulled the trigger. I think we’re in store for a much more consistent season from No.18.
4.1 - Kittle is too good a value to pass up at this point. He was the TE1 last season and was about as consistent as they come. With Brandon Aiyuk still recovering and Ricky Pearsall already dealing with an injury, Kittle should be a feature once again.
5.12 - I’m not going to lie, I’m not as high on Jameson Williams as I think everyone else is this year, but at the 5.12 I think he’s a really solid value for the potential ceiling he offers.
6.1 - It feels gross drafting James Conner every year, and yet, all he does is produce. My conversation with Bo Brack told us this is still clearly James Conner’s backfield.
7.12 - Kaleb Johnson and Jaylen Warren might split carries for the first half of this season, but this rookie could be a shrewd hold by managers this season.
8.1 - We went back-to-back rookie RBs. Unlike Johnson, this is already beginning to feel like Judkins’ backfield.
9.12 - As a proud Ohio State Buckeye fan, I love Emeka Egbuka. Here’s the thing, though: I never viewed him as a potentially huge fantasy asset. But I couldn’t help but watch and read everything coming out of the Buccaneers mini-camp. Egbuka looks really good, and he could be a big piece of this offence.
10.1 - I love Dak Prescott this season. And at 10.1, this is a steal.
11.12 - Trey Benson has almost no standalone value. He a potentially elite handcuff, though.
12.1 - Remember Hollywood Brown? I can’t help but wonder if he’s the key to unlocking Kansas City’s offence again. If he is, this becomes a steal.
13.2 - Jack Bech: one of my favourite rookie WRs in this class.
Thanks for reading and, as always, have a great day.
