Dynasty targets

Players worth trading for right now

By: Josh Frey-Sam

I’m kicking myself for not seeing that this was coming.

If you missed it, the Carolina Panthers inked WR Jalen Coker to a three-year extension on Thursday.

Those who don’t pay close attention to the Panthers all had the same reaction: “So what?”

Panthers fans, and other NFL nuts like me, understood that this was a big deal.

Coker is on the rise. At 6-3, he’s the modern-day “big slot,” and this extension was an endorsement by the Panthers brass of their confidence in the undrafted third-year pro, who is still just 24.

Coker was a guy I was high on entering last season, but a quad strain during training camp sidelined him for the first six weeks of the season. His final stat line — 33 receptions for 394 yards and three touchdowns — kept him under the radar, but it was clear by the end of the season that he was a legit pro with a high ceiling in Dave Canales’ offence.

This extension tells me that Coker is going to be a big part of the Panthers future, and they want to get him locked up before his price tag skyrockets.

There’s a lot to like about his potential workload. While Tet McMillan will serve as the primary option in the passing attack, Coker has clearly overthrown Xavier Legette as the No. 2 weapon, and the next best option is rookie Chris Brazzell.

Coker’s talent is undeniable. The one thing that concerns you with him is the quarterback. His ceiling will depend on Bryce Young taking another step. While I’m not particularly high on Young as a franchise signal-caller, I believe in Canales as a play-caller, which should allow Coker to flourish.

I say all that to say: I am pursuing him heavily in the trade market.

Coker probably could’ve been had for cheap prior to Thursday. Now, you’re obviously paying a bit of a premium with the news of his extension.

I’m still going after him, though. I think his cost will only go up from here.

There are a few other guys that I like at this point. Keep in mind, this is a fluid list that can change at a moment’s notice, and it also depends on where you’re at as a team.

That being said, I think we should always be open to trading for talent at a discount.

WR Jack Bech, LVR

The Raiders offence will go through Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty, but the Raiders WR room is underwhelming and ripe for someone to take a hold of the top spot on the depth chart. I have Tre Tucker and Jack Bech already, but I’m more keen on Bech, who enters his second season after a disappointing rookie campaign.

WR Matthew Golden, GB

I sound like a broken record at this point, but Golden is still totally mispriced in drafts and completely undervalued in dynasty. The problem last season wasn’t him; it was a lack of opportunity. He’ll have tons of opportunities in 2026.

RB JK Dobbins, DEN

This might be more for those who are in a position to push for a title. Dobbins is the unquestioned starter for the Broncos and is still being drafted WAY too late. He’s a value in redraft and dynasty right now. Why? Because he has a lengthy injury history and is in Sean Payton’s system, which can be unpredictable with usage at times. I don’t care — when healhty he’s been consistently productive whereever he’s been.

TE Tucker Kraft, GB

The peak time to buy Kraft might’ve been right after the NFL Draft, but I still think there’s value here. He looks great in his recovery from the ACL injury he suffered last season and will jump right back into being one of the key cogs in Green Bay’s offence. He was on pace for 1,200 yards before getting injured last season, and I’m not concerned about him rebounding. Take advantage of other people’s uncertainty around his situation.

WR Chris Olave, NO

Olave is still dealing with the blood clot that ended his 2025 season, and his stock is now trending downward. Although I do have some concern for this, those who are fearless will take the shot at him. He’s in store for a big year.

WR Marvin Harrison Jr., ARZ

Tough rookie year (for fantasy). Underwhelming second year. I still believe in the talent, and I think I’m becoming a minority in that stance. Some people were also turned off when HC Mike LaFleur said Marv would operate as the “X” in the Cards offence this season, while Michael Wilson will work as the “Z”, otherwise known as Puka Nacua’s role with the Rams. If anything, Marv’s stock has gone down slightly this season, but the Cards are still going to be a team that has to throw a ton this season. I’m buying the dip.

WR Malik Nabers, NYG

If you can find someone who is scared as hell of Nabers knee injury, you might be able to get him at a crazy discount. It goes without saying how great he can be if/when he makes a full recovery.

RB Jonathan Brooks, CAR

He’s entering Year 3, and his career still hasn’t truly started due to tearing the same ACL in consecutive seasons. Brooks is still just 22 years old, and I’m of the opinion that Chubba Hubbard can be overthrown. Don’t expect Brooks to start the year as Carolina’s lead RB, but he could take this thing over in short order. Some people may have given up on him already — he’s a potential homerun.

Thanks for reading and, as always, have a great day.
