All-Value Offence
Compiling a team that is the best bang for buck

By: Josh Frey-Sam
They’re the true gems of the National Football League.
The players that rank among the elite in performance but don’t take up much cap space.
I usually do this exercise on my own in my notes app every year, but now I have this newsletter to share it with others 😂
Hope you enjoy. I present the all-value offence.
QB - Jayden Daniels, WAS
The reigning rookie of the year was simply sensational last season. Daniels made it look effortless at times, efficiently throwing the football while gashing defences with his legs when needed.
At an average annual value just north of $9.4M, the Commanders can really push the chips over the next few years.
RB - Jahmyr Gibbs, DET
This was close between Gibbs and Bijan Robinson, but the tie-breaker was Gibbs slightly lesser AAV, which is a little north of $4.4M.
Gibbs is one of the premier home run threats in the league, and he’s outside of the top 20 in AAV.
WR1 - Nico Collins, HOU
The receivers are where it starts to get tough. I was stuck between Nico Collins and Mike Evans for our WR1, but sided with the younger Collins despite his AAV being about $4M higher.
We all know what Nico brings to the table at this point. He’s a big body and a threat at every level of the field.
His $24.2M AAV ranks 13th in the league.
WR2 - Drake London, ATL
Controversial, perhaps?
London is still just 23 years old and coming off his first 1,000-yard campaign. It’s really not his fault that he hasn’t had anyone to consistently get him the ball, but hopefully he does now with Michael Penix Jr.
He’s primed to have the best season of his career, barring injury. London’s $5.3M AAV ranks 45th in the league, and this feels like a tremendous value for the talent you’re getting.
TE - Brock Bowers, LVR
Maybe the easiest pick in this exercise. He just smashed every historical record for a rookie tight end, and he has every reason to be even better in 2025.
Is Bowers a top-three TE in the league? He very well could be. And at an AAV of $4.5M, he’s damn sure the best value.
LT - Rashawn Slater, LAC
One of the best in the game, only making $4.1M AAV. Allowed three sacks last year — could be better, could be worse. Part of this pick is that Slater has five-position flexibility, making him a value at nearly every position.
G - Alijah Vera-Tucker, NYJ
Coming in at $3.9M AAV. Maybe not coming off his best year — allowed four sacks in 2024 — but this is the anchor of that Jets offensive line.
G - Quinn Meinerz, DEN
One of my favourite players in the 2021 draft. Quietly one of the most consistent guards in football, and he’s coming in at $18M AVV, which is the ninth highest.
C - Tyler Linderbaum, BAL
One of the most athletic centers in the business. Linderbaum is up for a new contract real soon, but as of right now he’s only coming in at $3.3M— 23rd in the league.
RT - Mike McGlinchey, DEN
Arguably the best in football last season, making the 10th highest AAV ($17.5M). That’s value.
Tomorrow we do the defence.
Thanks for reading and, as always, have a great day.
